CHARITY EVENTS

When starting Paulette's Princess Parties, Paulette's goal was to try her best to fill the world with sunshine.  Since the start in 2015, Paulette has made it her mission to put smiles on the faces of the children that need it the most.  By providing her own time and energy to individuals, as well as charitable organizations, Paulette has spent countless hours hours with children and families during difficult times in their lives, getting to know them and their stories.  She is so passionate about making a difference in the lives of children in need that she requires all of her performers to volunteer their time a minimum of 4 times per year.

"A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around."   — Carolyn Birmingham

For more than three decades, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has been keeping families close at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. From its beginnings as a grassroots movement established

by a partnership between volunteers and local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, the charity has served thousands of families in their deepest times of need.

The reality of having a child sick and in the hospital can be incredibly overwhelming to parents and siblings. What the Ronald McDonald House is able to provide these families is a bit of stability in the midst of unthinkable circumstances. When a child is hospitalized, the comfort of having family nearby is beyond measure. It is this heartfelt purpose that both drives and defines RMHC of Central Ohio.

"At the Ronald house we have been fortunate to visit the "princess" room every 4 to 6 weeks and entertain the families at the home. The yearly Princess and Pirate Fundraiser is getting bigger and bigger each year and it is an amazing event .We love being "Part of their World"."  ~ Paulette

OUR MISSION

Wishes are more than just a nice thing.  A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness.

This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish®. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible.

Most of all, it's the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.  Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved - wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. The impact varies. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.  Whatever the odds, whatever the obstacles ... wishes find a way to make the world better.

"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"

"Everyday Make a Wish make those come true. We love surprising a child and giving them their "Disney Vacation". Sometimes it as simple as visiting their home or creating a fairytale party for family and friends. We miss so many of our Angels."  ~ Paulette

One day, a sweet little girl was diagnosed with a very rare form of pediatric cancer. Darkness spread over her family, and when they hit rock bottom, they began to search for ways to bring back their light. They discovered that helping other warriors was very therapeutic and made them feel like they were standing up to this ugly disease. As other families began to voice their desire to help, they realized that they could do more than just give back to their community and peers. They could also empower others to do so in their own lives. This ripple effect became the non-profit, Feel Better Foundation.

Today, Feel Better Foundation offers the unique service of creating meaningful and lasting legacies for children (under 21) with life-threatening diseases, conditions, and cancers. These legacies help families heal, cope, and honor their love one’s (living and deceased) fight. Although legacies are built to represent each child, they focus on giving back to their communities, hospitals, foundations, or peers. Legacies range from donating hospital wagons, creating gardens, dedicating school benches, raising money for research, or supporting another child through treatment. The options to create light are endless.

"Remember, you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine." -Snow White
